Modern gastropods include snails. They have a spiral shell that looks snail-like and bulges out at the center. They are the most diverse and abundant mollusks and can be found in marine, freshwater and on land. They move about on a foot and can feed in a variety of manners, including grazing, deposit feeding and filter feeding. (Cambrian to Recent)
