Kingdom Protista: Foraminifera
Protists are single-celled eukaryotic cells. Foraminifera are marine protista. They are very small tear-drop shaped organisms that are best viewed using a hand lens. These organisms fed by trapping food on pseudopodia and then bringing it back into the cell for digestion. They reproduce in cycles of sexual and asexual behavior. (Lower Silurian-Upper Permian)
